I have a boyfriend who is exactly the same way.....And I found out he comes by it naturally....his mother is a hoarder!! (LITERALLY!!!) He complains about her hoarding and inability to get rid of anything, but he can't see it his own self. I refuse to let him be that way in MY house and he doesn't understand why I toss, put away and cleanup...or even dust! Sometimes he throws a tantrum at the mere mention of it! He thinks my dusting (on a weekly basis) stirs up his allergies. Yet in his mother's house, the YEARS of built up dust, grime and dirt, spoiled food and and filth is OK??? I don't get it his logic. I stay away as much as possible. Just wish I could get him to counseling and get his eyes OPENED! I know what you mean by "sneaking things to the trash can". LOL!!!
