I doubt this is much of a problem with Andrew's students, but still something to keep in mind...
I've noticed quite a few coders on Facebook job groups posting to wish them luck or finally passed for their third or more attempt at CPC. I saw one person that posted a big 'Yay for me' post recently that finally passed (barely) on their SEVENTH try. I think this is often more of an issue with inadequate training than the individual, but if I were a recruiter scouring these public forums, I'd have a big ol' NOPE list of names for those that need an excessive amount of tries at the exam(s) or continuously post pretty basic questions looking for a set answer (not process of how to code something).
Again, I think this is often the result of inadequate training, but that still matters to potential employers (and their recruiters). I don't think they should give up or anything, but it seems kind of like publicly posting a spur of the moment trip to the beach, then calling in with the flu the next day or something. Just looks bad.
I can see how seemingly innocent posts like that could make or break the start of a good career (I'm sure there's other/better examples, too). When I see posts about someone not getting called for interviews or job assessments, it really makes me wonder if its because of a recruiting 'nope list' or the job market itself. I, personally, don't think its the latter a lot of the time.
