Dental Field

Hello Everyone!

I have been employed for 10 years as a certified Dental Hygienist. As part of my profession I am required to know and work with dental codes on a daily basis. I would like to keep my focus in my field due to my extensive knowledge and training in head and neck anatomy. I am almost done with module 3 and my goal in completing this course is to improve upon what I already know.

Does anyone have any information on remote dental coding?

Are there other coding fields of interest that I should consider given my specific background in head and neck anatomy. For instance, should I consider coding for a plastic surgeons office, oral surgery, ophthalmology..?

What are the chances of being able to do remote coding for any of the above?

Any feedback would be much appreciated! I know, I know...finding a rich Dentist to marry would solve all of my questions! haha :)

Sorry, I am just beginning this program, so I don't know much about coding.  However, one thing that jumped out at me as missing from your list of possible fields would be coding for ENT docs.  I would think your dental background would be helpful there.

I'm with Sheryl, just my second day, but have you thought about dental colleges?  I don't know if they have remote positions, but most of them would be in large systems with good benefits and probably good pay!
