Writing in our books

I am finishing up Module II.  I went back through and reread the Kuehn Book and it was amazing how much "clicked" with me as I reread it.  My question is when I reread I wrote on post it notes things I might need to know.  Also I have read in the discussion forums how we can make notes in our CPT book about the tables in the E/M section, as that can be a lot to remember.  But now I am reading in the discussions from people who took the CPC or CCS that very very minimal writing can be in the books.  As I said I have not wrote in them yet, but I would like some advice on what can be in them if anything at all!

Thanks

Jenn

Hi Jennifer!

You can make notes in the CPT book for the CPC exam. They must be handwritten though, no sticky notes or homemade tabs or anything like that. I had actually written a lot of notes throughout the sections of my CPT book and I had no problem when the proctor checked my book. While I haven't taken the CCS yet, I do believe you can not have anything written in the PCS book. They are more strict on that then for the CPC exam. Hope that helps!
