Module IV and inpatient coding guidelines are CONFUSING!!!!  Just when I think I know something, I find there is an exception or some other confound reason for not coding something like you might think!!!   :{  And I wonder why I am SOOOO SLOW with these assignments!!!!!!    Hmmmph!!!!!

I'm totally there with you. I posted something on Module IV discussions but no one responded. I was ready to pull my hair out in the Injury and Burns section with the E codes.  My head is spinning.  How far in are you?  I'm on section 15 now.

I'm only in Section 2 of Module IV!!!  I should be in Section 4 at least, but I am trying to get myself squared away early on in Module IV so am taking it slow - but too slow!!!  Sounds like you are coming along in it!!

Oh boy, looks like I'm in for a rough ride. I just sent in my last CCW exam for Module III and there were many times when I thought I wouldn't survive. I am going to relax and enjoy what little time I have left before I have access to Module IV. Good luck to us all! :)

Take a deep breath and relax. Inpatient coding can be very interesting but it is different than the outpatient coding you have been doing.

If you have a specific question be sure to send me an email and I'll walk you thru the coding process.

Remember that this is not a speed contest. I want you to work with purpose but concentrate on learning the coding process. Speed will come with practice.
