1) The chapter president gave me a couple of job leads.

2) I won a really nice coffee cup with the AAPC logo in the early-bird drawing.  Seriously, this thing could knock out a plate glass window, it's that heavy.

3) Found out about a free seminar (free - I like that word) being held in August on compliance that is worth 3.5 CEUs.

So that's three reasons :)

Well, drat, now we need to add math lessons to the course! ;)

Kidding aside, that's wonderful!  Will you be looking into those job leads, or it is still a bit before you were ready to start that?

Heheh now you know why I'm an artist and not a mathematician :)

I'm going to look into the job leads - one of them in particular.  It's part-time, they want someone certified, and are willing to look at CPC-A applicants.  Right now that would be perfect for me.  Money is very, very tight and to have some extra coming in would be a boon.

And it's got me all pumped up to dig harder into my studying.

It sounds like a perfect job for you right now, then.  Let us know how it turns out!

The one job only wanted someone for 5 hours a week.  I have no problem with part time, but that's a bit less than I'd like.  The other one is for Addison Group and offers flexible hours and will take CPC-As to train.  They are out of Houston, so I'm guessing it's probably a work-at -home position.  I've emailed their HR person for more details.  I'll post as I find out.

Fantastic news Terry!! I keep wanting to go to one of the meetings/seminars but between work and schoolwork I just can't eke out the time. But that sounds really promising!
