I am done with section 1 is there any advice or extra reading I can do until my books arrive?

If it were me, I'd skip ahead and do whatever readings (like in section 3) I could that don't require a textbook - that way you're ahead of the game.  Once you're up to that section, you can review what you''ve already read.
