Hi I'm Kasey, I'm 21 and I just recently made the decision to enroll in the medical coding program! I just thought I'd introduce myself :)
I just finished my first Module I readings and quiz and i'm waiting for my books to get here, they should be arriving tomorrow. I'm excited but also very nervous, I know this course is going to be tough but I am determined!
I'm sure I'll be back here for advice, but I just wanted to say hello.

I don't usually respond to discussion boards, but I wanted you to know that I started today also. Though I am quite older at 43, starting a new venture like this feels the same at any age. Maybe we can give each other encouragement along the way.

I am Laura D. Welcome! I just started in July, so I am a bit new at it too. And, do tell yourself you can do it. There is a lot of support out there plus some great resources to help you along the way. Just remember, there are many of us that have been in your shoes and are willing to boost you along. Before I started I spent a lot of time thinking about whether or not to take "the plunge". I am a 53 yo mother of a 9 yo special needs daughter that needs a lot of my time and attention on top of a chaotic and hectic life, so I wanted to be assured that making it through this program was a feasible thing to take on myself. The Andrews School was very good and helpful in giving me the information and direction I needed to make my decision. There are many options in place to help any student get through this program. You will do it with support from the school and other students.
