I've learned to love really good olive oil so much that for some mysterious reason I've started gaining weight. Was it the way too much ice cream, but I've been abusing ice cream for years, or the baked sliced potatoes or...

Sometimes we believe what we want to believe until something or someone hits us right in the face with FACTS, right?

Last night there was a news report of a woman who is going to ROW her row-boat across the ocean from Tokyo to San Francisco.  The report said that she is well stocked with freeze-dried foods and has lots of olive oil TO KEEP HER FROM LOSING WEIGHT!

I think I had one of those 'Aha!' moments.

First of all, I HAD NO IDEA that olive oil makes you retain your weight, but I do use coconut oil for almost everything like lotion on my body and face, I use it as a deodorant and I try to replace coconut oil with everything I eat. It doesn't taste much different, but in a latin house we use olive oil and I had no clue that could make us gain more weight! I'm gonna have to do some research. lol! Funny though!

I slowed down on olive oil consumption for several days and saw an immediate improvement.  Then the new stock of olive oil arrived and yesterday was not a good day.  :(
