So, I am VERY excited to announce that I recently accepted a Customer Service postion with a health insurance company called Cigna! (The one located near me in Northeast PA)

Many of you may be wondering why I am so excited about this.. Well I researched the company, and talked to 3 different people that work there now, and have not heard a bad thing about it yet.

I not only got an offer for a higher salary than what I am at now.....  but also at my interview I explained to the hiring manager that I have researched Cigna and see that they also hire medical coders, and I am currently in school for medical coding and would hope to transition in the future into that. I also said that I am looking for a career, to build with a company and move up. (that might have been why I had my interview on Tuesday and got a call with an offer on Wednesday).

So I am very excited to start a new job, a CAREER, with a company, with a VERY good chance of being promoted to medical coding once I finish with my schooling!

They also hire remote medical coders! So that is another plus!!

My start date will be October 5th, I cannot wait to start this new journey with a great company. My future is looking pretty bright!

(Sorry for the novel, I am just super excited, Lol)

Congrats Heather!  I know someone in my area (SE PA) that worked for them and also had a great experience before transitioning to a local hospital.

Enjoy the ride!

Thank you guys!

And thanks, Nicki! That is very encouraging. I gave my two weeks notice today at my current job.. very bittersweet. But I know it is a good move for my growth and my future! :)
